Founded in the 1990's, Geological & Environmental Consultants Inc. has served clients in Georgia and the surrounding area for more than 30 years. Whether you are a bank, oil company, local government, realtor, legal firm or land owner, we are here to serve you.
Our History
Geological & Environmental Consultants Inc. was first founded by Sam Almaee in 1990's. Having emigrated from Iran, Sam came to the States when he was 18, after the Iranian regime came to power. He received his degree from the University of Texas, where he subsequently worked in petroleum exploration. After the 1980 oil market decline, he furthered his career in environmental consulting and eventually resided in Albany, later founding GEC, Inc.
In his 30+ year career, Sam was a well-regarded environmental consultant, establishing a reputation for honesty, solid recommendations and high-quality customer service. Environmental consultant Landon Woodall worked with him for a number of years, acquiring the business in 2019 upon Sam's retirement.
Today, we are pleased to continue the same commitment to high-quality environmental services that Sam first established.

The GEC, Inc. Difference
"GEC Inc. was started by Sam Almaee in the 1990's. A lot of people relied on his expertise and my mission in carrying on GEC is to provide the same high-quality services he did with honest recommendations and quick turn around times. It's what sets GEC apart.
